The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit …. Cambridge (for the first time)

Before they Royal Couple set off for Cambridge, @TheRealJesal snapped this picture at Kings Cross St Pancreas this morning.  Here you can see Kate wearing a cream MaxMara coat, herAquatalia ‘Royal’ boots (in brown suede, used to be named Rouge) and clutching a matching brown suede bag:

You can also see a slither of a brown floaty dress poking out from under her coat, but as yet, we’ve no idea about where that could be from!

Shortly after 10am, Kate and William both emerged from the train in Cambridge. In this photo taken by @RaymondBrownCN, a Cambridge News reporter on Twitter, you can see the MaxMara coat belt more clearly.  You will also notice that due to the weather, Kate is now carrying an umbrella (which matches her outfit perfectly!)

Ten minutes later, the Duke and Duchess arrive at Cambridge’s Guildhall where they meet representatives of the Mayor’s charities,  Cambridge News Community Awards winters and other VIP guests.  Here’s a montage of shots from @ChrisHavergalCN:

On the left Kate and William are both in the Mayor’s Parlour, accepting a gift, which we’re informed is a Cambridge Palimpsest made by Cambridge University Press.

Shortly after, the Cambridges head onto the Guildhall’s balcony, where the crowd roars with wild applause.   Here we share a snap from “You Can Bike Too” @YouCanBike2 on Twitter, who are an ‘all ability bike product in Cambridge set up by a group of people with disabilities for the befits of the whole community.’

From the last day in Rabat with that twinge of having to leave soon making everything around us that much more beautiful. Somehow the most pajama-like combination my suitcase had to offer was the only one I hadn’t worn yet. The loose pants I got in Paris back in March during a strategic Iro rampage, the top is yet another perfect Anine Bing basic.

PARK CITY UTAH WEDDING

This amazing rustic chic wedding took place out in the beautiful state of Utah at Silver Moose Ranch in Park City. One of the aspects that really grabbed me about this wedding was the pop of color that comes through. From the purple bridesmaid dresses to the great looking flowers, this wedding really has it all. From the event designer: Andrew and Sara were such a fun couple to work with. Both of them love the outdoors and were seeking a very comfortable, rustic, fall wedding. Because the outdoor venue they selected provided such a natural, beautiful setting, we decided it was important to not go overboard with decor, as we didn’t want it to distract guests from enjoying the beautiful scenery. That being said, the ceremony took place in front of a beautiful grove of aspen and evergreen trees with the lovely mountains in the background. The decor was simple yet perfect for this couple, tree stumps in varying heights with floral arrangements placed in fishing baskets. Thanks to Utah Events by Design for sharing this wedding with us today.

From Evan Hunt… Brittney & Kyle’s love is strong. Both as individuals contain so much energy, joy, faith, and love it absolutely overflows to anyone they encounter in their lives. When they are together, their love not only overflows, but explodes like fireworks, covering everyone who’s fortunate enough to be near. These two are a perfect example of what love means.

From the Groom… I met Brittney while serving in the Junior High ministry at our church. I had just gotten back from working at the church’s summer camp in Michigan and came back for the start of a new school year. I saw Brittney for the first time at our initial leader meeting of the year and immediately thought she was cute – I kept taking quick glances in her direction, hoping she wouldn’t notice. As the year went on my desire for her began to grow more and more as I witnessed her love and passion as she served the kids and interacted with everyone in the ministry. I finally gathered the courage to ask her out to coffee, and although what was said in that moment varies on which one of us you ask, the response requires no interpretation.

I had hoped Brittney would be the one for me even before I first spoke to her. Her parents had given her the nickname “Birdie” growing up, and I think our story has a neat similarity to this name. In the months leading up to our first date, even though I was very, very attracted to her, I spent all of my time around her as an observer. I saw the way she acted, I saw the way she laughed, I saw the way she loved and served her students and her Lord. I was able to see her in her purest form, without any knowledge of my interest in her, and no desire in her to impress me. This is what convinced me that she was someone special, someone I could see spending the rest of my life with. Now that we’re together, sometimes Brittney will notice me simply looking at her, which I always love doing because her beauty captivates me each time I see her. When she notices, she’ll look at me with the cutest face and ask with a smile “What are you doing?” And my response, time and time again, is “Oh, just bird-watchin’.”
